Eczema

The word Eczema is derived from a Greek word which means ‘to boil’. It is also called as dermatitis. It refers to an inflammation of the skin which forms pustules on the skin from which sometimes there is clear fluid discharge may occur. It is chronic and essentially a constitutional disease resulting from toxic condition of the system. It generally serious disorder during infancy but improves by early adulthood.  It most commonly appears on the hands, wrists, arms, neck, face, upper chest and back of the knees. It is not contagious.

Causes of Eczema:-

Allergies
Varicose veins
Faulty body metabolism
 Cold and dry weather
Nutritional deficiencies.

Symptoms of Eczema:-

1.      Itching

2.      Redness on skin

3.      Dry and flaky skin

4.      Itchy blisters

5.      Inflammation on skin

6.      Small bumps on forehead, neck and cheek

7.      Rough and thickened skin.

Home Remedies for Eczema:-

1.      Apply coconut oil to the portions with eczema. It keeps the skin soft

2.      Applying light mud pack to the affected area is also beneficial for eczema.

3.      Sunbathing is also beneficial.

4.      Avoid soaps, chemicals and other drying agents

5.      Applying spearmint juice to the affected area is the effective remedy for eczema

6.      Make a fine paste of 1 teaspoon camphor and one teaspoon sandal wood paste and apply on the affected eczema area.

7.      Mash almond leaves in water and apply on the area. It helps in the eczema treatment

8.      Mash papaya seeds and apply on the affected area. It helps you to treat the eczema problem

9.      Carrot and muskmelon are highly beneficial for eczema

10.  Make a fine paste of turmeric powder and one table spoon of bitterneem leaves. Apply the paste to the affected areas. This eczema remedy is one of the effective home remedy for eczema.
