IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME (IBS)

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a digestive disorder mostly by cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, constipation and diarrhea. IBS affects the colon or the large intestine. The condition does not leads to serious health risk but it affects the quality of life as it requires some change and compromise with regard to your daily diet and life style.

Symptoms of Irritable bowel syndrome:-

Symptoms range from mild to severe. Most people have mild symptoms. Symptoms vary from person to person.
Bloating, gas, fullness
Increased abdominal pain
Discomfort
Problem in passing stools
Constipation
Infrequent bowel movement etc.

Causes of Irritable bowel syndrome:-

Causes of Irritable bowel syndrome are not yet known. It has been found that colons of people suffering from IBS are more sensitive than normal people.
Home Remedies for Irritable Bowel Syndrome:-
Intake of peppermint oil capsules as per the dosage mentioned on the cover is an effective  remedy for IBS or you can take 2-3 drops of peppermint oil in a cup of warm water and drink the solution four times a day.

Avoid food that causes heat to the body

Eat fresh fruits and vegetables which contain high fiber in it. Fiber helps in movement of bowel.
Take a piece of raw ginger, cut into small pieces and chew them slowly. It effectively treats irritable bowel syndrome.

Drink plenty of water.

 Water will subside irritable bowel syndrome symptoms successfully.
Consuming a teaspoon of honey mixed with dill oil after every meal is an effective home remedy.
Avoid alcohol, chocolate, caffeine, wheat, rye, barley, chocolate, milk products, and alcohol
Spicy foods, dairy products, insoluble fiber, eggs, artificial sweetness etc to control the problem of IBS.

Do regular exercises

Including rich carbohydrate food in your diet is essential remedy for Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Avoid stress and tension as they trigger Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
 Talk with your doctor before taking over-the-counter medications. Fiber supplements can make symptoms worse. Laxatives taken for constipation can become habit forming
