Pink Eye Remedies — 

Conjunctivitis is the medical name for what we commonly know as ‘pink eye’. The name is derived from the pinkish color that the eyes takes on when infected. When the conjunctiva, which is the outermost surface of the eye,  is infected it is inflamed resulting in eyes becoming pink. Pink eye can also be caused due to allergic reactions in some cases.

These drugs should be administered under strict supervision of a physician or ophthalmologist.

Likewise pink eye caused by bacteria need to be treated as soon as possible, either through prescription drugs or through pink eye remedies at home, because this is also transmittable easily. Pink eye caused by bacteria can be treated Fluoroquinolone which is also an antibiotic drug.

Pink eye that is caused by allergy commonly has some kind of particles in the eye, which needs to be removed immediately. To treat this kind of pink eye there exist some pink eye  remedies at home that can be utilized. For treating pink eye with home remedies includes herbs and some traditional treatments. The herb that is extensively used for pink eye remedies is the chamomile. Tea bags of chamomile are easily available, all you have to do is find some that is in pure form and do not contain any fillers. Take a portion of cool water and soak the chamomile bags in it and put them on the lids of the eyes. Another way is to dip the tea bag in clean water and use the water to wash the eyes frequently.

Pink eye can also be caused by certain bacteria that cause your eyes to expel pus. This condition can be taken care of with home pink eye remedies. You will need lemon juice to administer the treatment. Lemon juice should be in a much diluted form otherwise it will hurt the eyes. Therefore you have to dilute the lemon juice with water and apply some on the tear ducts and eye lids.

You Should Not Visit Public Places Too Often During Pink Eye Remedies

When you are treating your pink eye, you also need to take some precautionary measures in order to prevent it from spreading. During this period you should not visit public places too often, even if you do wear a pair of goggles or glasses. Staying indoors during pink eye remedies is the best option if you do not want to spread pink eye.
