BED WETTING
Bed-wetting is also known as Enuresis. It is not at all a physical disorder. But it is a habitual disorder. Even though it is not a physical disorder it is a more embarrassing situation for parents. This problem generally subsides when the kids starts growing. But in some cases this problem remains ever after couple of years passed. This makes the child suffer a lot and feels ashamed as they have no control over urination.
Even kids that are potty trained may still wet their bed at night. Even though the children establish day time dryness they may not maintain that control on wetting during nights. Parents are the persons who have to help them by train them to control bed wetting.
Causes for Bed wetting:-
Hormonal imbalance
Immaturity of the nervous system
Small size of urinary bladder that cannot retain urine over night
Defects in urinary tract
Certain diseases such as diabetes, UTI etc
Home remedies for Bed wetting:-
Practicing retention control by postponing urination during the day time helps your child from bed wetting gradually.
Remind your child to use the bath room before going to the bed every night
Avoiding liquid food before bedtime also helps your child to get rid the problem of bed wetting
Avoid giving drinks which contain caffeine, such as colas and tea as caffeine increases the flow of urine.
Praising your child for staying dry will make them happy and gives encouragement for them to try to maintain the dryness
Wake up your child at least for every 2-3 hours and take him/her to bath room for wetting. This practice helps your child to avoid bed wetting gradually
Give your child 6-8oz of cranberry juice an hour before going to bed. It acts as a best remedy for enuresis
Eating two table spoons of walnut halves and one table spoon of raisins before going to bed helps your child to avoid bed wetting.
